Region 8 IEEE Voluntary Contribution Fund
  Basic information:
  Voluntary contribution fund is created to help IEEE members from less rich countries in Region 8. The fund supports various projects; this fund serves only for travel support, which is not the only one nor the main reason for the project.
  Necessary conditions for travel support (conditio sine que non):
  • IEEE member from country with average gross income of an electrical engineer under $10000 per year
  • travel to an IEEE sponsored or co-sponsored conference within Region 8
  • active participation on the conference (eg. paper accepted for presentation)
  • money can be used for travel and subsistance, no money given to meet conference fees
  • member must provide all necessary information and originals of receipts

INTAS Conference Individual Grants
Deadline: 15 May 2005!!

  Conference Grants support the organisation of scientific events of particular relevance to INTAS scientific policy, including support grants for individual participants from the NIS countries.

  Conference Individual Grants (CIGs) support, through individual grants, the participation of NIS scientists in international scientific events organised in or out of the NIS countries. This support may include coverage of travel costs and/or living costs and/or conference fees.

Applications for CIGs:

Applications must be submitted online, before the closure dates following the INTAS information package.

For CIGs applications, please note:

  • Applications should be received exclusively from individual scientists with NIS citizenship and working on a permanent basis in a R&D institution of a NIS country.
  • The applicant must be in the 25 - 45 age range.
  • The applicant should imperatively contribute to the programme of the conference in the form of an invited lecture, oral communication, or poster presentation.
  • Costs should be partly supported by the applicant's home institution and/or by the Conference Organising Committee and/or by another organisation.
